MIL MI-8MTV (MI-17-1V) HELICOPTER
Mi-17-1V is the development of multi-purpose helicopter Mi-17 and the main improvement is improvement is a new engine – now the helicopter has two gas-turbine engines TV3-117VM with capacity up to 1900 hp (in case of failure of one engine, the second can be used with the power of 2200 hp) and auxiliary power unit AI-9V. One or two extra fuel tanks can be installed in the cargo compartment which considerably increases the practical range of the helicopter. Also new avionics is settled, allowing flying in the daytime and at night.
